5 Days Salalah Tour – Complete Salalah tour

On day 2 of our Complete Salalah tour, you will enjoy a ride from green hills to golden dunes, as we go across mountain passes, see camels grazing, and watch the face of the earth transform before your very own eyes from green to yellow. This trip prepares you for the desert ahead of you, where there is only silence and beauty and no technology whatsoever.

Wadi Dawkah
As we continue our journey, we will walk through the frankincense valley where ancient trees still exist as a true testimony of Salalah's old trade. As we move through those trees and valleys, you can imagine how the old traders gathered resin centuries ago. To stride here is to be a part of Salalah's economic heritage, a place that mapped the world's trade routes.

Lost City of Ubar: The Atlantis of the Desert
 As we continue our complete Salalah tour, we will visit the lost city of Ubar. Call it the “Atlantis of the Sands”, Thought to be a myth until the 90s when ruins popped up out of nowhere from the dunes. Enjoy walking those crumbled walls and small alleys, and immerse yourself in the “desert Atlantis” as our guides tell you different stories and rumors about it. It is a historical place full of questions and mysteries. Perfect for curious people. 

Camel Farms visit the desert ships 
Make your way to a desert farm and experience the delight of seeing camels very closely. Watch them eat, feed them yourself if you'd like to, and learn why they are one of the most important things in Bedouin life. They are gentle-eyed and slow creatures, reminding you of how people have survived in the desert for centuries.

Empty Quarter Desert
Our last pause on the second day of our complete Salalah tour is at the Empty Quarter Desert, an ocean of gold standing next to your eyes, one of the largest deserts in the world. Enjoy the high dunes, the complete silence, take pictures as the sunset colors the horizon with the red-golden color, and let your soul connect with the silence and vastness. 

• Ayn Sahalnoot Spring

   We begin the third day in our complete Salalah tour by visiting a remote spring lying between hills known as the Sahalnoot spring, where you will be greeted by verdant mountains and cascading waterfalls. This spring has been considered a source of water for many generations who lived in Salalah. Best for sightseeing and meditation.
  Mughsail Beach

   As our complete Salalah tour continues, we head to the most famous beach in all of Salalah, the Mughsail Beach, where you will walk barefoot on golden sand and enjoy watching the ocean crashing against tall cliffs. Taste the salty spray and listen to the seabird melody above your head. This beautiful & famous beach offers power and peace, a place you’ll picture long after this journey ends.

  Marneef Cave & Blowholes 
  Moving next to witness the sea wrath in Marneef cave, where you will discover the dark caves where the sea breathes in blowholes and where old pirates used to hide. Enjoy as water splashes high before your eyes, take very cautious steps, as you may fall as you witness old markings in those cave walls. Enjoy yourself and take everlasting pictures.

   Hidden Beach Viewpoint

  Stand atop a cliff and take in the sight of Masood Beach below, untouched, azure, blue, and stunning. Take in the gush of wind rushing past as waves crash beneath. This secluded paradise gives you the sense that you've found a world's secret spot.

  Frankincense Trail
   Take the path once walked by merchants and enjoy the fragrance of frankincense carried by ancient trees. Picture caravans traveling across numerous ages ago. This spot connects you to history and enables you to be where Oman's most precious commerce previously started.

  Eefalquot Cliff

   Our last stop for the third day in our complete Salalah tour is the Eefalquot Cliff, where we will stand on top of this giant cliff and enjoy the view of the Arabian Sea as far as the eye can see. Feel the wind, hear waves pound against rocks below, let your nervous system relax as you breathe the refreshing breeze of the Arabian Sea. It is a perfect place to pause and take photos

Sultan Qaboos Mosque

 We start our fourth day of our complete Salalah tour by visiting one of the largest mosques of Salalah with its unique architecture and design that represent a notable symbol of the Islamic empire. It serves as a worship place. Once there, you will be introduced to the Islamic culture and get to know some of the rituals of the Islamic religion. This is perfect for curious tourists.
Al Baleed Archaeological Park

 In the next stop of our complete Salalah tour, we will walk around this UNESCO monument, Al Baleed Archaeological Park, where remains from ancient times reveal the Dhofar port of yesteryear. Walk around collapsed walls, discover roads once filled with business activities, and imagine life centuries past. This monument connects you to Salalah's rich history and culture directly.

Frankincense Land Museum

 Moving next to visit the museum that brings Oman's maritime history to life. Discover through interactive exhibits, see old maps and tools used by old surfers, and picture traders embarking from Salalah's coastline. History becomes a story you can see and feel in every exhibit.

Al Husn Palace (Sultan's Palace)

Walk by this beautiful palace and pay its imposing façade a combination of Omani heritage and royal flair. Feel the past in its walls as you imagine life in the palace to be a regal one. This brief visit gives the royal touch to your complete Salalah tour.

Al Haffa Souq

Our second-to-last stop in our complete Salalah tour is a widely known local market called Al Haffa Souq. There, you can buy small memories of Salalah, bargain with traders, buy local spices and coconuts, and enjoy what Omani markets look like 

Coconut Farms & Fruit Stalls

And we finish the day with a trip to Salalah's coconut farms. Drink fresh coconut water, eat tropical fruits, and meditate under green palms. In this stop, you will relax and relieve stress as you sip coconut in a green oasis and watch local farmers tend to their gardens. 

Ayn Razat Spring

 We begin the last day of our complete Salalah tour by visiting this green paradise under the mountains, discovering hidden waterfalls, and enjoying the cold, pure water coming out of caves. This place is full of lush green lands and cascading water that gives you all you need to relax from all the stress and anxiety.

Taqah City

The second pause in our complete salalah tour is a coastal village where the sea shapes daily life. Watch fishermen throwing their nets, while breathing the sea breeze, and enjoy seeing a wide variety of fish. Taqah Castle

Mirbat Town & Harbor

We finish our complete Salalah tour at Mirbat town and harbor, the old capital of Dhofar. Wander in narrow streets with homes with wooden doors and see how fishermen load their catch at the harbor with all the screams in all the harbor, sit back and watch how Omani fishermen end their day.
