Mohamed a2025-02-15 Amazing experience We had a really great vacation in Oman and that's mainly because of Salalah safari team , they were very friendly and accomadating especially our guide and driver mahmoud who was very respectful and knowledgeable Everything was done as per the program, on time, and as expected Kirby H2025-02-10 Beautiful skies at sunset/sunrise and great host in Khalid The reason for the highest rating was because Khalid was an exceptional guide. I did sunset and overnight sunrise from Empty Quarter tour. He made the trip fun. We talked for several hours after dinner and I learned a lot about life in Oman. He was always on time and pleasant. One thing that could be improved - almost all the vehicles go to the same set of dunes which leads to a couple of things - less optimal for photography because the dunes are marked from vehicle tracks and many people on top of dunes, plus trash such as plastic water bottles tends to collect at the base of some dunes over time. If tour groups could spread out more and remove trash that would make for a better experience. Again, good overall experience because of Khalid. Ekaterina Z2025-01-09 Excellent desert tour Recently we did sunset safari desert tour with this guide. The trip was excellent: well organized, good guide, new and comfortable car. The guide-driver was a real pro - the dune bashing was fun!Thank you for the great tour! Olga S2025-01-05 Salalah east trip Please note that it's not a monsoon, so it's not as green as in InstBut! It’s crucial to research the visa requirements for your chosen destination. Fortunately, Oman boasts straightforward visa regulations that shouldn’t cause any apprehension. In this guide, we’ll walk you through all the essential details regarding visa requirements in Oman.
Visa on Arrival in Oman: For travelers hailing from 103 countries, including the likes of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, France, Italy, and Australia, Oman offers the convenience of a visa on arrival. This means you can effortlessly obtain your visa upon landing at the airport. This visa grants you a stay of up to 14 days, starting from the moment you step foot into the Sultanate of Oman. Should your flight schedule inadvertently extend your stay by an hour or two, rest assured as border authorities typically overlook minor discrepancies.
eVisa for Oman: In the event that your nationality doesn’t qualify for visa on arrival, fret not. Oman extends the option of an electronic visa (eVisa) for your convenience. This eVisa caters to both single and multiple entries, entitling you to a stay of up to 30 days. To initiate the application process, simply navigate to the Royal Oman Police eVisa website and complete the online application form. Alongside this, you’ll need to provide a copy of your passport, a passport-sized photograph, and your flight itinerary. Processing usually takes between 24 to 72 hours, ensuring a swift turnaround.
Visa Requirements for GCC Citizens and Residents: Citizens of Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, and Saudi Arabia enjoy visa exemption privileges when visiting Oman. As for residents of GCC countries, determining visa eligibility is a breeze through the Royal Oman Police website. By inputting your nationality as stated on your passport and specifying your GCC residency status, you can swiftly ascertain your visa eligibility.
Visa Extension in Oman: Should your plans entail an extended stay surpassing 30 days, it’s imperative to arrange for a visa extension through the Royal Oman Police Immigration department.
Cash:
In Oman, cash is widely embraced, especially in local markets, small businesses, and traditional souks. It’s essential to have an ample supply of Omani Rial for your daily needs and for situations where card payments might not be feasible.
Credit and Debit Cards:
You’ll find that credit and debit cards like Visa and Mastercard are welcomed in hotels, high-end dining establishments, and larger retail stores across Oman. Nevertheless, it’s wise to have cash on hand for smaller vendors or when journeying to more remote locations.
