Day 1: Lost City of Ubar – Empty Quarter Desert

  • Lost City of Ubar – Desert Camping in Salalah Tour Begins with History
    Some people call it the “Atlantis of the Sands.” Thought to be a myth until the 90s when ruins popped up from the deep dunes. Walking through those crumbled walls and immersing yourself in the “desert Atlantis” will make you feel like an archaeologist in the middle of that town. Guides will tell you different stories and rumors about it. It is a historical place full of questions, which is perfect for curious people.

  • The Empty Quarter
    Discover the Empty Quarter desert—an ocean of golden sand stretching forever under the sky. Dunes rise to the height of half-mountains. Enjoy the time when the sunset hits the whole desert and ignites it into a red-golden fire. Time kind of stops there. Take pictures that will surely outlast you and remain as proof of your desert adventure!

  • Camels & Sunset
    As the sun dips low, enjoy the natural landscape where camels start roaming in the vicinity under the red-golden sun rays. Take pictures and get ready for camping!

  • Bedouin Camp Experience

    Finish the first day by living the true Bedouin life, camping in the wild desert under the open sky. Enjoy a traditional Omani dinner under the stars with the air filled with spice and smoke. Guides will share old, scary but thrilling stories about this desert and how people managed to live in this harsh environment. Later, lay down in the warm sands and enjoy a comfortable night.

Day 2: Wadi Dawkah – Camel Farm – Return Salalah

  • On the next day of our Desert Camping Tour, wake up to the peaceful silence of the Empty Quarter Desert.

  • Start your day with an unforgettable sunrise over the dunes. Enjoy your breakfast, then leave the desert camp with memories to last a lifetime.

  • Next, we head to Wadi Dawkah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and renowned Frankincense Trees Reserve, home to over 5,000 ancient frankincense trees. Wind your wits around the narrative of frankincense- the resin referred to as the ‘gold of Oman. Feel the breeze and breathe pure air in your lungs. Touch the ancient trees and smell your ancestors’ odor as you move through the trails.

  • Our next stop is a traditional camel farm to bear witness to centuries-old Omani craftsmanship. After this camel farm visit, we will head back to your hotel in Salalah.

  • After today’s experience with nature and history, we hope to recover some of the unforgettable moments we shared.

For bookings made more than 3 days in advance, a 30% deposit is required, with the balance due one day before the trip.   • Our prices are listed in US Dollars per person, per trip. However, payments can be made in any other currency.
