The souk offers a diverse selection of goods, with highlights including authentic Omani souvenirs such as frankincense, the iconic Khanjar (Omani dagger), exquisite silver handicrafts, and elegant Pashmina shawls
• Take a scenic stroll along the Muttrah Corniche, a beautiful waterfront in Muscat that offers breathtaking views of the harbor and the majestic surrounding mountains.
• Perched on a hill overlooking the harbor, Muttrah Fort is a 16th-century fortress built by the Portuguese. Visitors can explore its ancient watchtowers while taking in panoramic views of Muttrah and the Gulf of Oman.

• Today, we leave the vibrant energy of Muscat behind and hit the road for a scenic drive along Oman’s stunning coastline. Our first stop is the Bimmah Sinkhole, a natural pool that feels like something out of a dream. Surrounded by rocky cliffs, the sinkhole’s turquoise waters are irresistible—take a swim, relax, and enjoy this little slice of paradise.
• Next, we head to Sur, a charming town with a rich maritime history. Once famous for its dhow shipyards, Sur is the perfect place to wander along the waterfront, admire the traditional wooden boats, and imagine the stories of sailors who once set sail from these shores. It’s a peaceful stop that gives you a glimpse into Oman’s seafaring past.
• As the day winds down, we make our way to Ras al-Jinz, a quiet coastal spot known for its turtle sanctuary. After a hearty early dinner, the real adventure begins. As night falls, we’ll join a guided tour to witness one of nature’s most incredible spectacles: green turtlescoming ashore to lay their eggs. These majestic creatures travel thousands of kilometers to return to this very beach and seeing them in their natural habitat is a humbling and awe-inspiring experience.

• After a peaceful morning in Ras al-Jinz, we’ll enjoy breakfast and hit the road, heading toward Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most stunning natural treasures. The drive itself is a treat, with ever-changing landscapes that showcase the country’s raw beauty—rugged mountains, vast plains, and glimpses of traditional villages.
• When we arrive at Wadi Bani Khalid, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into an oasis paradise. Crystal-clear pools shimmer under the sun, framed by dramatic cliffs and swaying palm trees. Whether you want to take a refreshing swim, relax by the water’s edge, or explore further to find hidden waterfalls and secret pools, this place is pure serenity. If you’re feeling peckish, we can stop at a local restaurant to savor some authentic Omani flavors—think fragrant rice dishes, grilled meats, and fresh dates.
• After soaking up the lush beauty of the wadi, we’ll trade greenery for golden sands as we head to Wahiba Sands(also known as Sharqiya Sands). This sprawling desert is a world of endless dunes, constantly shifting and glowing in the sunlight. For a thrill, hop into a 4x4 for some dune bashing—an adrenaline-pumping ride over the sandy waves. Or, for a slower pace, try a camel ride and imagine yourself as a Bedouin traveler crossing the desert. As the day winds down, climb to the top of a dune to witness a stunning desert sunset, where the sky and sand come alive in shades of orange, pink, and gold.
• As night falls, the desert transforms into a magical setting. We’ll gather for a traditional Omani dinnerunder a canopy of stars, often accompanied by local music and dance performances that bring the culture to life. Afterward, retreat to your Bedouin-style tent, where modern comforts meet ancient traditions. Drift off to sleep to the gentle silence of the desert, feeling completely at peace in this timeless landscape.

• From Jabrin, we continue to Bahla Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that feels like stepping into a living history book.

• Start your day early and dive into the heart of Omani culture at the lively Nizwá Market. The impressive New Souq complex has been sensitively designed using Omani fort architecture and elegant Islamic arches. The air-conditioned halls of this souq are full of fresh fruit and vegetables, herbs and spices, huge stacks of dates, and freshly caught fish.This is still the best place to buy traditional silver “Khanjars” (hand-carved Omani daggers) and Bedouin jewelry, where silver is still sold by weight
• After the market, we’ll head to the charming town of Al Hamra, known for its well-preserved mud-brick houses that seem to whisper stories of the past. From there, we’ll visit the picturesque village of Misfat Al Abriyeen, a hidden gem nestled into the mountains. Wander through its narrow alleyways, shaded by date palms, and marvel at the traditional stone houses that cling to the hillside. Here, you’ll also learn about the Falaj irrigation system, an ancient network of water channels that has sustained Omani communities for centuries. It’s a testament to the ingenuity and resourcefulness of the people who call this rugged landscape home.
• As we make our way back to Nizwá, we’ll take a scenic drive along Jebel Shams, Oman’s highest peak. Along the way, stop to take in the jaw-dropping views of Wadi Nakhr, often called the "Grand Canyon of Oman." The sheer cliffs and deep gorges are a sight to behold, especially as the sun casts golden light over the rugged terrain.

• Today, we embark on a breathtaking journey through some of Oman’s most dramatic landscapes. After breakfast, we’ll leave Nizwá and set off toward Wadi Bani Awf, a stunning valley surrounded by towering mountain cliffs. As we wind through the wadi, you’ll be captivated by the rugged beauty of the terrain—sheer rock faces, lush pockets of greenery, and the occasional glimpse of traditional villages clinging to the mountainside.
• Our drive will take us to the famous "Snake Point", a dramatic viewpoint at the end of the gorge where the road twists and turns like a serpent through the mountains. Stop here to take in the awe-inspiring views and snap some photos of the dramatic landscape. It’s a moment to pause and appreciate the raw, untouched beauty of Oman’s interior. From there, we’ll continue our journey back to Muscat.
